IWHN

  • This interpretation of "I who have nothing" blends modern art with pop and opera.

  • pop, edm. dance, opera
  • I, I who have nothing
I, I who have no one
Adore you and want you so
I'm just a no one with nothing to give you but, oh
    I love you

    He, he buys you diamonds
    Bright, sparkling diamonds
But, believe me, dear, when I say
That he can give you the world but he'll never love the way
    I love you

He can take you any place he wants
    To fancy clubs and restaurants
But I can only watch you with
My nose pressed up against the window pane

    I, I who have nothing
I, I who have no one
Must watch you go dancing by
Wrapped in the arms of somebody else when, darling, it's I
    Who loves you

    I love you
    I love you
    I love you

  • I like to keep everything self-contained, but this has obviously been a hindrance too. I'm used to recording and making my own tuitional videos for my students/youtube/socials, however I could easily assemble a team if required.

Hank Williams – There’s a Tear in My Beer

  • This video documents the performance of a cover of Hank Williams' "There's a Tear in My Beer." The recording of the guitar has also some minimal sound treatments.

  • Songwriter, electro-folk
  • There's a tear in my beer 'cause I'm cryin' for you, dear
You are on my lonely mind
Into these last nine beers, I have shed a million tears
You are on my lonely mind
I'm gonna keep drinkin' until I'm petrified
And then maybe these tears will leave my eyes
There's a tear in my beer 'cause I'm cryin' for you, dear
You are on my lonely mind
Last night I walked the floor and the night before
You are on my lonely mind
It seems my life is through and I'm so doggone blue
You are on my lonely mind
I'm gonna keep drinkin' 'til I can't move a toe
And then maybe my heart won't hurt me so
There's a tear in my beer 'cause I'm cryin' for you, dear
You are on my lonely mind
Lord, I've tried and I've tried but my tears, I can't hide
You are on my lonely mind
All these blues that I've found have really got me down
You are on my lonely mind
I'm gonna keep drinkin' 'til I can't even think
'Cause in the last week I ain't slept a wink
There's a tear in my beer 'cause I'm cryin' for you, dear
You are on my lonely mind

Mirror

  • The critically-acclaimed second release from performer-composer Thomas blends elements of Balkan, Arabic, Hindustani, West African, Pop-Soul and Classical styles with cinematic arrangements and emotive power to create a new genre called World Chamber Pop.

“Mirror” explores duality and shadow psychology in the quest for integration of the true self, interlacing diverse threads of culture through a rhythmic, poignant examination into the human condition.

The project features a ten-piece microtonal chamber ensemble including string quartet, drums, double bass, oud, qanun, synth / piano, percussion, and voice.

  • World, Chamber pop, classical, pop, fusion, world fusion
  • Come to me, my mirror
    Show me your shadow
    Hiding deep in there
    Don’t be scared to grow

    Into the tree
    Made of oak
    With outstretched leaves
    And rings to hold
    Into the moon
    Oh and how she’ll grow
    If she would only
    Stop fighting for

    The sun
    To shine
    All of the time
    The sun
    To Shine
    All of the time

    Come to me, my child
    I can help you heal
    All the wounds of old
    You can finally feel

    The salty breeze
    On your naked bones
    With outstretched arms
    You’re not alone

    No need to hide
    This is who you are
    And you are worthy
    Of every star

    The light
    And dark
    This is who you are
    The light
    And dark
    This is who you are

    Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh
    Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh
    Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh
    Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh
    Ahh, ahh Ahh, ahh
